Discover Rome Tours · Colosseo metro
A short guided visit sold by Discover Rome Tours, built on the Park's own night opening of the Colosseum. The Night option is the reason to book it, with the arena floor and the underground after dark, but the cheaper Evening option is an ordinary daytime visit without either.

From 14 July to 26 November 2026 the Parco archeologico del Colosseo opens the monument on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, 8 pm to 11 pm, in groups of up to 25. The visit takes about an hour: the first level, the arena floor and the underground with its exhibition on gladiators and animals. The Colosseum Night Tour (With UG) option of this listing is a seat on one of those slots. Because night tickets open only 7 days ahead, the operator confirms your start time, anywhere between 8 and 10 pm, about a week before the date.
The other option is the problem. The Colosseum Evening Tour (No UG) is a two-hour visit to the Colosseum's upper level, a look at the Forum from outside and a walk along Via dei Fori Imperiali. Its ticket is valued at EUR 18, the price of the standard ticket without the arena. It runs before the Colosseum closes, so in summer it is daylight. Between June and October 2026 several guests who thought they had bought the night visit got a 4:30 or 5 pm slot, no arena, no underground and only a partial refund (one guest got 15% back). The $148 from-price is the cheapest option; the Night option costs more, so check the option list.
Know the direct alternative. The Park sells the same night visit itself on ticketing.colosseo.it for EUR 50, guide included, tickets released 7 days ahead and quickly gone. The listing still quotes a EUR 25 night admission, which is out of date. What this tour sells is the slot when you can't get one, and the operator's coordinator at the gate.
On the Night option the operator messages a start time between 8 and 10 pm once the Park releases tickets. Check that the message says Night (With UG).
Largo Gaetana Agnesi 3, the upper-level exit of Colosseo metro (line B), by the Caffè Roma "M" sign. Discover Rome Tours staff wait there.
Tickets are named. Have a passport or a copy of it on your phone. A mismatch means no entry and no refund.
The night route enters at the north arch, crosses the first level, goes out onto the arena platform and then down into the hypogeum.
On the No UG option you get the upper level, then the Forum and Via dei Fori Imperiali from outside, about two hours in all.
